Energy management consultants is the key to saving energy in your organization. Much of the value of energy saving is due to the global need to save lots of energy – this global need impacts energy prices, emissions focuses on, and legislation, which lead to many compelling explanations why you should save energy at your company specifically.
We determined four steps to the energy management consultants above. We’ll cover all of them in turn:
Metering your energy consumption and collecting the info
As a rule of thumb: the greater data you can get, and the more detailed it is, the better.
The old school method of energy-data collection is to manually read meters once a week or once a month. This is a significant chore, and regular or regular data isn’t almost as good the info that comes easily and automatically from the present day approach…
The modern method of energy-data collection is to match interval-metering systems that energy management consultants use at brief, regular intervals such as every 15-minutes or half hour. There’s more concerning this on our site about interval data.
Finding and quantifying opportunities to save energy
The in depth meter data that you will be collecting will be priceless for helping you to find and quantify energy-saving opportunities. We’ve written an article that explains more about how to investigate your meter data to find energy waste material.
The easiest & most cost-effective energy-saving opportunities typically require little if any capital investment.
Complete energy data is the key to finding easy and simple energy savings
And, using your detailed interval data, it is almost always fairly easy to make affordable estimates of how much energy has been wasted at differing times. For example, if you’ve identified that the majority of energy management consultants has been misused by equipment left on within the weekends, you can:
- Use your interval data to determine how much energy (in kWh) is being used each weekend.
- Estimate the proportion of this energy that is being thrown away (by equipment that should be switched off).
- Making use of the statistics from a and b, compute an estimate of the full total kWh that are lost each weekend.
Targeting the opportunities to save lots of energy
Just locating the opportunities to save lots of energy won’t enable you to save energy – you have to take action to target them…
For all those energy-saving opportunities that want you to motivate the individuals in your building, our article on energy recognition should be useful. It could be hard work, but, when you can obtain the people working for you, you may make some very seriously big energy cost savings without investing anything other than time.
Tracking your improvement at saving energy
So at a minimum you should take a quick look at your energy data once a week, or even just once per month, to ensure that nothing has gone horribly incorrect… It’s a genuine shame when easy-to-fix faults such as misconfigured timers remain unnoticed for a few months on end, giving a huge energy bill that can have easily been avoided.
But ideally your energy-management drive will be an ongoing effort to find new opportunities to focus on (step two 2), to focus on them (step 3 3), and also to track your improvement at making ongoing energy personal savings (step 4 4). Energy management consultants does not have to be always a full-time job, but you will achieve far better results if you make it part of your regular regime.
